Golden milk has been used in the Yogi tradition for centuries to strength the weak and to delight the kings. Golden milk is versatile, giving a variety of options for each constitution and for each occasion. You can use any milk of your preference and a combination of spices for your constitution. The key is to use turmeric and ginger as a base.
I personally like to put it in the blender for a few seconds to combine the spices well and to give a foamy texture. Golden milk is ideal for children when you add one or two dates to give some iron and fortify the delicate Vata constitution. You can serve golden milk cool or hot; however, to make this soothing drink effective, I prefer the warm option. Golden milk is a wonderful sedative drink to take before bed when it is combined with nutmeg and cinnamon.
Once you adopt Golden milk in your daily routine, I promise that you will feel eager to serve it in other gatherings or just to have it to company a good book on a cozy sofa.
