Parasite purification

By Rachel Freeman

AROUND THE WORLD

Up until relatively recently in Canadian history, a parasite cleanse was a regular (annual or semi-annual) part of our health regime. Historically, up until the 1930s, people woud use castor oil or other home remedies to purge their bodies or any parasites, once or twice a year.

In Europe, parasite cleanses are more common

NUTRIENT ABSORPTION

Parasites can live in your body for many years, up to 30 or 40 or 50 years.  Our bodies are so amazingly powerful to be able to endure these infestations.  Depending on the natural vital force of the individual, you can go for many years and be infected with parasites without experiencing any major effects.  But eventually you will loose energy and can experience many of the symptoms mentioned earlier.
Parasites secrete toxins that our bodies have to deal with.  These toxins are just a nice word for poisons.  Toxins are poisons.  Our bodies have to either neutralize these poisons or wash them out.  Eventually as the parasitic infection increases the body has a more difficult time eliminating these toxins and the individual ends up with a lot of poison in their body.  Smoking, drinking alcohol, junk food, white sugar, drugs, chemicals in food, leave poisons in our bodies.  When you combine these with toxins from parasites, it's easy to understand how our bodies just begin to wear down from all the poisons within.
The poisons from parasites and candida also block the absorption of nutrients.  This means that the body's ability to absorb nutrients from its food intake or vitamins and minerals is substantially reduced.  You can be eating the finest organic diet and taking the highest quality supplements and you body is not able to absorb the nutrients in this food.

CANCER, DIABETES AND OTHER MODERN DISEASES

Many natural health practitioners speculate that parasitic pathogens play a significant role in some of our most serious modern illnesses. This includes cancer, AIDS, diabetes, arthritis, alcoholism, chronic fatigue syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, depression, Crohn’s disease, epilepsy, pnemonia, anemia, etc.

Parasitic organisms greatly distort the body’s natural chemistry, impacting vital organs and systems. A parasite purge program should be considered by anyone suffering from these illnesses.

COULD I BE INFECTED?

The tests run by medical doctors in the West may not catch most parasitic infections.

Are You Infected?

Most physicians and general practitioners will not test for human parasitic infections as a first line of clinical diagnosis. Rather, many traditional physicians will attempt to treat other conditions that may be causing your condition and will only resort to parasitic testing if these other treatment methods do not bring relief. If you think you may be infected with parasites, try this simple experiment: do a parasite cleanse and stay away from sugars and carbohydrates for a couple of weeks. These are foods that human parasites thrive on. If your symptoms suddenly begin to dissipate, you will know that a parasitic infection was the true cause for your symptoms.

I addition to detoxification I recommend the following: eliminate white sugar, white flour, yeast, alcohol, and tobacco from your diet; attach a sound water filter to your drinking water supply (Nikkon has a very good one on the market); always wash you hands after using the toilet or changing diapers; remove all pets from your home unless they have had their parasites eliminated and are on a maintenance program;  do not clean out cat litter from cats who are not treated;  only eat well cooked meat; carefully wash all food being consumed in water you know is clear of parasites;  when traveling take a portable water filter and select the food you eat with care.

what helps?

There are a number of parasite cleanses available, both online and in. My ayurvedic therapist recommended Hulda Clark’s program for me, but there are many that you can explore.

FOODS TO FAVOUR

Favour alkanizing foods
mugwort tea
raw garlic, taken away from meals

Beneficial vegetables : beet, cabbage, carrot, garlic, leek, blue-green algae, spirulina/chlorella, alfalfa sprouts, onion, homemade sauerkraut, radish, and sorrell.

Beneficial fruits: If fruit is not contra-indicated, papaya, pineapple, blueberries and blackberries have anti-parasitic properties. Freshly squeezed lemon and lime juice is also helpful.

Beneficial herbs & spices: oil of oregano, turmeric, neem, wormwood, clove, black walnut, rhubarb root, aloe vera gel. Any fresh herbs, such as basil, mint, oregano,

Pumpkin seed tea : soak for a few hours in water and blend. Warm on the stove in a pan and then strain. Can also be freshly roasted (eaten within 24 hours) although only for those who do not have difficulty digesting fats.

KEEP YOUR BOWELS CLEAN

Some parasitic worms are actually large enough to physically block the passage of nutrients and waste at certain points in the digestive system. Severe parasitic infections in the bile duct or the intestines can make bowel movements difficult, leading to worsened symptoms of constipation.

Take a good quality daily pro-biotic. Digestive enzymes are also helpful.

GET IN TOUCH WITH YOUR TRUE SELF

It is my experience that chronic illness can be a blessing in disguise. Through illness, our body gives us the opportunity to heal : to bring more balance to your diet and lifestyle, and to replace mental patterns which no longer serve.

True healing cannot be done by diet or medication alone, as our true selves exist beyond the limitations of the physical plane. Time with nature is heavily recommended. Also, any interest in the healing arts or spirituality should be explored at this time. This includes meditation, massage, yoga, tai-chi, sound healing, counseling, the arts, journaling, inspirational/spiritual texts, community, etc. Making changes to our lifestyle takes courage and patience. However, my friends, I say that those who have sought have always found.
